Meet Preview
Now well into her second season of cross country, Jesuit junior Annamarie Maag is making a strong campaign for best in the Northwest. Maag has beaten
all of the top NW competition, and led her Crusader ladies through the
same victorious fall season. Both Jesuit girls and boys will have the
chance to seal up their third Concordia title in a row. Since the
start of regular season competition, Maag has been undefeated,
including her recent win at the Sunfair Invitational in Washington on
October 3 where she faced off against some formidable NW competition in
Kinsey Gomez (Coeur d’Alene jr), Amy-Eloise Neale (Glacier Peak fr) and Liz Brandon (Eagle sr). That victory helped Maag earn a spot on SteveU’s Top 25
individual list. Individual girls to watch on Saturday also include
2009 Alaska 4A champ Courtney Kisner (West Valley AK so), Tate Murray (Lake Oswego OR sr), Maag’s teammate Payton Shutte (Jesuit OR jr) and Katelyn Steen (Eastlake WA jr).
